Why Support the PlayGarden?

Life for families with disabled children is extraordinarily expensive and can be an isolating experience. The PlayGarden provides a place of respite for parents and a consistent, year-round place for children with disabilities to develop artistically, physically, and socially - all alongside their typically developing siblings and friends.

  • Ensure access for All, regardless of family income.

  • Enable us to provide our wonderful inclusive programs to the whole community.

  • Keep our gardens lush and thriving.

Like a garden, children need consistent care, sun, water, and fresh air to grow. But, to truly thrive, children need PLAY. Show your support for “equal play for every body” by donating today! Your contributions will help support the PlayGarden and its programs throughout the year.

"No one says “don’t pick that” here, says Welch, the program's lead designer and owner of Wendy Welch Garden Design. “Everything we plant is provocative for kids in some way – from the scent to the texture, to the taste. There are endless amounts of flowers to pick and berries that kids can eat to their heart’s content," she says.
